This is La Napoule's " Holy Mountain "
Sort of advanced sentinel of the Estérel on the sea and the plains of Siagne and of Argentière. In overhang above the village of Napoule.

San Peyre was called " The crowned mountain" by a certain Guy de MAUPASSANT during his frequent visits at the end of the 19éme century. He met a hermit removed on the mountain there the history of which he wished to tell. |
