Mandelieu, Capital of Mimosa!

Mandelieu-La Napoule is considered the Mimosa Capital of Europe. Between the sea and the hills, it embodies a sunny way of life, punctuated each winter by the spectacular blooming of this luminous and fragrant floral emblem. It is here, in the heart of the Tanneron massif, that we find the largest mimosa forest in Europe, where nature offers a unique spectacle, accessible via fragrant hiking trails, guided walks, or panoramic circuits through winding roads between sky and sea.

This exceptional plant heritage has been celebrated every February since 1930, with the Mimosa Festival, a must-see event on the Côte d'Azur in the heart of winter. For five days, the city comes alive: flower parades, shows, concerts, and immersive activities retrace the magic of this solar flower and the history of its cultivation.

Around the mimosa, the Tourist Office offers a multitude of sensory experiences: craft workshops, derived products (soaps, honey, perfumes, decoration and delicacies, etc.), visits to foraging centers, guided walks and hikes, visit to the mimosa arboretum, etc. This flower becomes a true golden thread between natural heritage, local culture and authentic know-how.
