THE MIMOSA FESTIVAL – FROM FEBRUARY 11 TO 15, 2026.
Mimosa Festival Program 2026
For 95 years, Mandelieu has been celebrating mimosa, notably through the Mimosa Festival, which every February offers residents and visitors a festive, popular and joyful program consisting of a parade, corso, entertainment, mimosa distribution, a grand banquet, fireworks, concerts, etc. A joy shared for 5 days throughout the entire town: from Capitou, the historic district of mimosa growers to Place de France, to the seaside which hosts, opposite the spectacular Château de La Napoule, the unmissable flower parade on Sunday afternoon.
Mimosa Festival 2026 > The Carnival of Carnivals®!
In 2026, the Mimosa Festival will take place from February 11th to 15th and will have the theme "The Carnival of Carnivals®"! The floats that will parade through the city on Saturday evening the 14th and Sunday afternoon the 15th will highlight the festive spirit of 12 Iconic Carnivals Around the World Rio (Brazil) and Venice (Italy) will obviously be featured, but also the carnivals of New Orleans (USA), Goa (India), Dia de los Muertos (Mexico), Barranquilla (Colombia), Oruro (Bolivia), Cape Town (South Africa), and the Chinese New Year festivities. Europe will be represented by the Basel Carnival (Switzerland), and for France, the Dunkirk Carnival will be highlighted, emphasizing the historical ties between the people of northern France and Mandelieu. Finally, a nod will be given to the two events on the French Riviera (Nice Carnival and Menton Lemon Festival).
5 days of joyful and popular celebration, the Mimosa Festival takes place in the city's districts, which see colorful and flowery parades. It is in the heart of Mandelieu - on the Place de France - that festival-goers meet, particularly on Saturday, without forgetting the historic mimosa district: Capitou and the La Napoule district by the sea, particularly for the Grand Corso on Sunday afternoon.
On the program: Parades, light parades, flower parades, children's carnival, entertainment, strolls, exhibitions, lively squares, flower decorations in the streets and markets, as well as the unmissable Miss Mandelieu election. Five days of intense festivities that allow the public to share, have fun and celebrate the mimosa, symbol of winter sun of the French Riviera.
But beyond this popular event, Mandelieu lives to the rhythm of mimosa from mid-December to early March. Throughout this period, the Tourist and Convention Bureau offers a wide range of discoveries and activities, not to mention its boutique featuring a collection of mimosa-related products.
