Rowing in Mandelieu.
A sporting heritage rich in history
Rowing, a sport of elegance and strength, is deeply rooted in the history of Mandelieu. It was in the mid-19th century that this discipline began to develop in the region, taking advantage of the calm and favorable waters of the Siagne River . Since 1981, the Mandelieu rowing club has been based on this small coastal river, attracting both passionate amateurs and champions.
Among the notable figures, Sébastien Vieilledent , trained at the club, made history by winning the gold medal at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 , putting Mandelieu on the world rowing map.

An exceptional setting between river and sea
What makes rowing in Mandelieu unique is its environment.
The Siagne, peaceful and surrounded by nature, offers ideal conditions for starting or perfecting your technique. Added to this is the immediate proximity of the Mediterranean, where rowers can progress in a spectacular setting, combining turquoise sea and views of the Esterel mountains.
This contrast between the fresh waters of the river and the vastness of the sea allows for a varied experience, suitable for all levels.
