On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy, the city of Mandelieu-La Napoule is hosting a unique exhibition dedicated to the presence of the US Navy in the Mediterranean.
From December 1 to 12, 2025, the Municipal Archives of Mandelieu-La Napoule present the exhibition "The US Navy on Call in Mandelieu - 250 Years in the Mediterranean," an immersion into the history and missions of the United States Navy through rare photographs and exceptional pieces. Created from photographs by Christophe Vignon and Gilles Perez, specialists in the US Navy, this exhibition, the first of its kind in France, highlights two and a half centuries of American naval engagement in the Mediterranean. Visitors will also be able to discover models, objects, and documents retracing this maritime adventure.
The exhibition is open with free admission, Monday to Friday from 14 p.m. to 17 p.m., at the Municipal Archives – 89 avenue de Fréjus, rond-point de l'Espace. Group tours can be arranged upon request.
