This year, “the school of yesteryear in Mandelieu-La Napoule” will be in the spotlight

Embark on a journey through time... and immerse yourself in “The School of Yesteryear”. The history of this school is essentially that of the “communal”. That of our grandparents and great-grandparents.

These European Heritage Days are an opportunity to tell you the story of primary education in Mandelieu-La Napoule. You will discover that nothing has been simple and that battles have been fought to allow everyone access to school. The Giant Dictation is an opportunity to review its classics: open to children and parents alike!

10:30 a.m.: Giant dictation for all - Place de France on a text by Frédéric Mistral and tribute to Bernard Pivot - Distribution of the special brochure "The school of yesteryear" -
Registration for dictation opens from 15/08/2024 on the city website.
Dictation for all audiences from 10 years old - free upon registration - limited number of places -

AFTERNOON - MUNICIPAL ARCHIVES
From 14 p.m. to 17 p.m.: “The school of yesteryear” exhibition
From 15 p.m. to 17 p.m.: calligraphy workshop for all ages from 10 years old with Stéphane Trillaud – upon registration – limited number of places – registration for the workshop opens from 02/09/2024 on 04 92 97 37 10
From 17:30 p.m. at the Eden Parc Entertainment Center: screening of the documentary film “School Memories of Gilles Moisset”. (Limited Places).
