From the Belle Époque to today: how elegance and sports have shaped Cannes and Mandelieu-La Napoule

During the Belle Époque, Cannes became a popular destination for wealthy clientele drawn to its exceptional climate. Capitalizing on this enthusiasm, Mandelieu-La Napoule saw the development of a golf course, polo field, racetrack, and other facilities, frequented by the aristocracy of the time. These new infrastructures transformed the area, leaving a lasting mark. Mandelieu-La Napoule has since leveraged this legacy, developing its appeal, urban planning, and amenities, ultimately becoming the dynamic and renowned city it is today.
