From May 23 to 26, the city of Mandelieu and its partners are offering an event entirely dedicated to reading and authors, whether from theater or cinema.
## The program ##
• Friday, May 23 - Awards ceremony for the winners of the “Let’s Live the Words” competition and the play “Pourvu qu’on reste ami”
Leonardo da Vinci Space – 20 p.m.
Starting at 20 p.m., the Espace Léonard de Vinci will host the awards ceremony for the international competition "Vivons les mots" (Let's Live Words), the prestigious "Gold and Silver Mimosa," a competition organized since 2018 by the ACSTS (Association Culture Spectacles Théâtre Solidaire) and various partners. More than 120 participants competed in this 7th edition.
In the second half of the evening, the public will be able to attend a performance of the play "Pourvu qu'on reste ami" by Laurent Ruquier, performed by Aurélie Schos and Claude Traina, from the Home Art Collective. To close the evening in a friendly atmosphere, a friendship drink will be organized, offering a privileged moment of meeting and exchange between participants, artists and partners.
• Saturday, May 24 – 2nd edition of the Great Book Day
Place de France, from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m.
- Food trucks to eat on site,
- A “Let’s Live Words” fair allowing you to meet authors and publishers,
- A book fair for reading enthusiasts,
- Games and face painting to entertain families,
- Exhibitions and theatrical scenes to immerse participants in the cultural universe.
• Saturday, May 24 – Theatrical reading
Napoule Castle - 16:30 p.m.
- Two unique cabaret-theater performances, hosted by Patrice Heuguebart on the accordion, comedian Luc Vandermaelen, and Guy Fontaine. These performances will combine songs, poetry, and sketches blending lyricism, comedy, tragedy, and zany, with a (light) introduction to the Ch'tie language.
• Sunday, May 25 - “Let’s Live the Words” Festival
Château de la Napoule – from 10:30 a.m.
- An interactive magic show by Sylvain Crevon.
- A reading-performance at 14:30 p.m. entitled "Mémoires de Jean Olender, Mineur de fond," a poignant work based on true life stories, performed by three actors and a musician. Followed by two plays, including "Cartes en mains," presented by the Vivons les Mots company.

• Monday, May 26 – Exceptional concert on the film music of “Les Claptuors”
Château de la Napoule at 20:30 p.m.
- A concert of film music, classical music, and jazz, presented by the city in partnership with MG Art, as part of the 3rd Château en Musique Festival. This concert will also mark the end of the CASA CINE writing residency, hosted by the Château de la Napoule.
