A little history… More than 100 years ago, in 1909, the first port of Mandelieu was inaugurated in La Napoule by the Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich of Russia and his wife the Countess of Torby. There was then only a simple pier. The current port would be built 60 years later, in 1968, an engineering masterpiece partly composed of red Estérel porphyry. From the following year the first boaters will be able to anchor there. The Port de la Rague, for its part, was inaugurated in 1969. Spanning a viaduct, it is arranged in two basins with 952 locations. It is the ideal starting point for a sea trip to discover the tourist hotspots of the Côte d'Azur. It is also “Clean Ports”, a certification reserved for marinas meeting strict environmental standards.
A stroll on Port la Napoule or Port de la Rague
For the simple pleasure of the eyes, a stroll along the quays is always a pleasure. The opportunity to dream in front of the exceptional boats or to wait for the return of the few fishermen to buy their fish on the authentic markets. It is really the village spirit that reigns over these 2 major ports of Mandelieu. We dream there, we dine there, we stroll there.
