GRAAALPS: The First Edition of a Transalpine Gravel Journey

Two twin towns, Mandelieu-La Napoule and Crans Montana, announce the first edition of GRAAALPS, an ultra-distance Gravel event which reaffirms and revives the historic partnership between these two exceptional destinations. As part of the common desire to celebrate their special bond, the two municipalities have entrusted the creation of a unique sporting event of its kind to the company Race Across Series.

From July 17 to 21, 2024, GRAAALPS will trace an extraordinary adventure, inaugurating the very first ultra-distance Gravel event between Mandelieu-La Napoule and Crans Montana.

750 km and 20.000 meters of elevation gain: Starting from the enchanting shores of the French Riviera, crossing the Alps through three countries, to reach the majestic peaks of Crans Montana, this crossing promises an unforgettable experience.

This is the first ultra-distance Gravel event under the innovative concept of semi-autonomy. GRAAALPS offers a distinctive adventure, combining essential security and logistics services, with freedom, so that participants relish their autonomy. Striking the perfect balance, this approach ensures a safe experience while preserving the excitement of autonomous exploration.

The great crossing will conclude with a major GRAVEL FESTIVAL, a lively weekend on Place Ycoor in Crans Montana. On the program: various activities, Gravel distances open to everyone, including children, and a festive atmosphere to end this unique adventure in style.
