For ten years, Laurent de Wilde, Jerome Regard and Donald Kontomanou have together pioneered the art of the trio with a constancy as joyful as it is diligent, whether to play the repertoire of Over the clouds, to accompany Jacques Gamblin in their show "Ce that the djazz does to my leg" or to raise the New Monk Trio to the Victoires du Jazz and the Grand Prix Sacem.

Entirely made up of compositions by Laurent (and one co-written with Donald), their repertoire covers a very wide field of music ranging from grooves inspired by Roy Ayers and Ramsey Lewis (Back on the beat), Fela Kuti (Get up and dance) or the big names in Mandinka music (Les paradis perdus), without forgetting more introspective works like Liane and Banian or Inner Roads, thus offering a rich and varied musical journey to the heart of the emotion of jazz.
